BOOM BLOX!
In class, we played the Wii. We played a game called Boom Blox. Boom Blox is a game that requires stratergy and skill. The point of the game is to destroy the blocks on the screen using your limited amount of baseballs. Also, there are many other type of blocks like chemicial blocks and bomb blocks that can be used to destroy other blocks. For example, in one level, you have to use one baseball to make a block fall on a lever causing many bomb blocks to fly in the air. Then you have to use your other baseball to blow up bomb blocks out of the air. It requires patience and determination. Boom Blox is the best game ever!

Scotch Tape Power
On October 22, reasearchers in a vaccum chamber dicovered that Scotch tape emits X-rays. Juan Escobar, a graduate student at the University of California says "The power you could get from peeling tape was enormous." When machines peeled Sotch tape in a vaccum chamber, it emited X-rays. Thankfully, this can only harm us when we are in a vaccum which doesn't happen very often. This dicovery could lead to new X-ray machines. I think that this is so cool because an everyday tool, has suddenly become an the tool to making machines that use X-rays. I hope that one day, we can find a use for Scotch tape other than taping.

Jellyfish Leads to Nobel Prize
On October 7, 2008, Osamu Shimomura of the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts; Martin Chalfie of Columbia University; and Roger Tsien of the University of California at San Diego discovered an amazing scientific breakthrough and won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry. They found a protein in a crystal jellyfish that help us understand more science. This mineral is called GFP. GFP can show us things that were impossible to us before. By using GFP, we can see the development of nerve cells, how cancer cells spread, and many more things that will help us soar ahead others in technology. I think that this discovery is awesome and will help in future with things like cancer and other life threatening diseases. I think that this is awesome and that I hope that it will prevent life threatening diseases. In conclusion, three scientists have discovered a new protein called GFP that will help us in the future.
