On October 22, reasearchers in a vaccum chamber dicovered that Scotch tape emits X-rays. Juan Escobar, a graduate student at the University of California says "The power you could get from peeling tape was enormous." When machines peeled Sotch tape in a vaccum chamber, it emited X-rays. Thankfully, this can only harm us when we are in a vaccum which doesn't happen very often. This dicovery could lead to new X-ray machines. I think that this is so cool because an everyday tool, has suddenly become an the tool to making machines that use X-rays. I hope that one day, we can find a use for Scotch tape other than taping.

Whoa!!! Since when could scotch tape do anything then tape?
ReplyDeleteWow! That's totally awesome! I think this is a major scientific breakthrough. I didn't think scotch tape could do anything other than, well, tape!
ReplyDeleteI agree with dodo.
